Atelier Wartości together with Kraków Airport has launched a unique initiative – the #PetCareOnTheGo (#ZNapędemNa4Łapy) project, which aims to improve the well-being and safety of companion animals.
Today, on World Dog Day, we are inaugurating something truly unique: the first "Pet Care on the Go" first aid kit for dogs and cats in Poland and the world, now available to all travelers to the John Paul II International Airport in Kraków-Balice!
The number of pet-friendly places is growing
- August 26 is the perfect date to launch our project and there is probably no better place to present our first aid kit for travelers arriving in Małopolska - informs Beatrycze Bem, Communications Director at Atelier Wartości. - More and more people treat their pets as full-fledged family members. We spend more time with them, we take them to work, restaurants. The number of "pet friendly" places is growing. More and more of us are taking our animal friends on holiday. "Pet Care on the Go" first aid kit in a place like an airport is therefore not only necessary, but also timely.
What is the “Pet Care on the Go” first aid kit?
This is a specially prepared first aid kit that can be found at the Kraków Airport information point. The kit is available 24 hours a day and is intended to support in emergency situations that animals may encounter while traveling.
However, this is only part of a larger initiative #PetCareOnTheGo (#ZNapędemNa4Łapy) – a project that aims to raise standards of care and safety for companion animals. The kits will be available wherever animals are welcome: in pet-friendly workplaces, restaurants, hotels and other “pet friendly” facilities.
Kraków Airport is a leader in caring for animals while travelling
- Kraków Airport has been taking care of the comfort of animal travel for years. We were the first airport in Europe to introduce dogs providing emotional support for travelers. In 2018, we also introduced a dog run as the first airport in Poland - emphasizes Natalia Vince, Spokesperson at Kraków Airport. Our airport team includes Border Guard dogs, as well as a Sokolnik dog. - The on-duty first aid kit is another step in ensuring the comfort of four-legged airport users. A specially prepared first aid kit for emergencies is available 24 hours a day at the airport information point. Another aspect of the project is equally important to us. By getting involved in this initiative, we can support social economy entities from Małopolska, such as Atelier Wartości.
About the project
The #ZNapędemNa4lŁapy project was conceived by Atelier Wartości, a social economy entity from Małopolska. The sewing room where first aid kits for dogs and cats are sewn employs people at risk of social exclusion.
This is an initiative that combines care for animals and support for people in need, which perfectly fits into the mission of Atelier Wartości - the profit from the sale of first aid kits supports projects involving local communities and organizations that help animals.
Join us in caring for animals and their better future!
